Columbia Threadneedle Investments Hires Jim Bumpus to Lead U.S. National Sales

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Columbia Threadneedle Investments announced today that Jim Bumpus has joined the firm as National Sales Manager. Mr. Bumpus will lead intermediary sales and distribution in the broker dealer and independent channels and report to Joe Kringdon, Managing Director, Head of Intermediary Distribution.

In this role, Mr. Bumpus will oversee an established and experienced sales team and be responsible for expanding the firm’s business relationships with U.S. intermediary partners.

Mr. Bumpus brings nearly 30 years of experience in financial services, including multiple leadership roles in sales and relationship management. Mr. Bumpus joins Columbia Threadneedle Investments from Putnam Investments, where he most recently served 12 years as Managing Director, Head of Wirehouse Channel / East Region Director. Over the course of his career he has held sales and relationship management positions of increasing responsibility at Putnam, Citizens Investment Securities and Shearson Lehman Hutton.
