Regular quarterly dividend to increase $0.05 to $0.28 per common
share
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
The Board of Directors of Ameriprise Financial, Inc. (NYSE: AMP) has
declared a $0.28 per common share dividend, payable on February 24, 2012
to shareholders of record at the close of business on February 10, 2012.
The dividend represents a $0.05 or 22 percent increase from the current
level.
With this action, the company will have increased its dividend by 56
percent since the second quarter of 2011 and raised its dividend five
times since becoming a public company in 2005. In the first nine months
of 2011, the company returned approximately $1.4 billion to shareholders
through dividends and share repurchases.
