James (Jim) Cracchiolo has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ameriprise Financial and its predecessor company since 2000. Cracchiolo has more than 35 years of experience in financial services. He led Ameriprise through one of the largest spin-offs in U.S. history to its position today as a leading diversified financial services firm focused on wealth management, asset management and insurance.
Prior to his current role, Cracchiolo held a number of senior executive positions at American Express, the company's former parent. He was Group President of American Express Global Financial Services from 2000-2005, which included American Express Financial Advisors, American Express Bank, and Travel Related Services (TRS) International. During the 1990s, Cracchiolo was President and Chief Executive Officer TRS International; Senior Vice President of TRS Quality, Global Reengineering; President of Global Network Services; and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Shearson Lehman Brothers.
Cracchiolo serves as a member of the Business Roundtable, the Financial Services Roundtable Board of Directors, the Minnesota Business Partnership and the American Council of Life Insurers. He is also a member of the Board of Advisors for the March of Dimes.
Cracchiolo graduated from New York University with a bachelor's degree in accounting and economics in 1980 and received an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business in 1985. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New York State and holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 24 registrations.

Berman provides the financial community and

Berman joined American Express, the former parent company of Ameriprise Financial, in 1965 and served until 1996 in various positions, including Senior Vice President and Treasurer of American Express Travel Related Services (TRS), Chief Financial Officer of American Express International, Chief Financial Officer of TRS and American Express treasurer.
He left the company in 1996 and held senior financial positions at other major companies, including Treasurer of IBM. He returned to the company in 2001.
Berman serves on the Threadneedle Investments Board of Directors and is a member of the CFO Roundtable.
He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Brooklyn College.
Kelli Hunter and her Human Resources team ensure that Ameriprise Financial hires, develops and retains the best talent to help the company continue to grow by achieving its strategic priorities. In addition to workforce planning and analytics, Hunter and her team are responsible for developing leaders; establishing reward, benefit well-being, training and cultural programs; and engaging employees so that our clients, advisors and shareholders receive the highest quality service.
Before joining Ameriprise in June 2005, Hunter held senior-level roles in human resources for Crown Castle International, Software Spectrum, Inc. and Mary Kay, Inc. Hunter also has previous experience working in financial services for Morgan Stanley and Shearson Lehman Brothers.
Hunter holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of New Hampshire.
Randy Kupper (pronounced Coop´er) is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Ameriprise Financial, Inc. As the head of the technology organization, Randy is committed to ensuring technology supports growth in all lines of business and is a strategic advantage for attracting clients, advisors, investors and employees to the firm. He is passionate about listening to the voice of the customer and ensuring technology is simple, reliable, integrated and secure.
Having joined the company as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Applications and Engagement in November 2008, Kupper was responsible for applications development and executive partner engagement to support the business agenda until his promotion to CIO in 2012.
Before joining Ameriprise Financial, Kupper was SVP in the technologies organization of American Express Company. There he supported the largest American Express business unit, Global Consumer and Small Business Card Issuing. His responsibilities included the company's website, worldwide card authorizations system, service delivery unit, risk management and banking operations. He led more than 4,700 employees and outsourced personnel.
Kupper also held several other executive leadership roles in information technology within the financial services industry, including those at Lehman Brothers, the former investment banking and equities trading firm; and Interval International, Inc., a leading vacation ownership exchange company. He holds a master's degree in business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a bachelor's degree in business administration with specializations in accounting and computer science from the University of Wisconsin – Stout.

Maglaque is responsible for driving strategic growth for Advice & Wealth Management. Key areas of focus include growth through experienced advisor recruiting, development of the Ameriprise Advisor Center, Risk Mitigation and leadership of opportunities to expand our advisor business internationally.
Maglaque joined Ameriprise Financial in 2005 as senior vice president of finance. Prior to joining Ameriprise Maglaque held several positions at American Express, including senior vice president for strategic planning and business development; senior vice president overseeing consumer card and financial services in Germany and Austria; and vice president for finance in the consumer card business. Prior to American Express, Maglaque held a series of positions in Citibank's card business in New York and Frankfurt, Germany.
Maglaque earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University and a Masters of Business Administration from New York University. He is fluent in French and German.
Deirdre D. McGraw
Executive Vice President – Marketing, Corporate Communications and Community Relations
Deirdre McGraw and her Ameriprise Marketing, Communications and Community Relations teams help promote and protect the Ameriprise Financial brand and reputation, and ensure that consistent and effective messages are delivered to our advisors, employees, clients and external stakeholders.
McGraw and her teams are responsible for brand management, advertising, marketing programs, client communications and digital and interactive marketing. She also leads internal communications to employees and advisors, meeting management and public communications. McGraw and her team are also responsible for the company's community relations and philanthropic programs as well as state government affairs.
McGraw brings more than 20 years of marketing and communications experience in financial services. McGraw joined Ameriprise Financial in 2000 as a member of the Chairman and CEO's office working on enterprise-wide initiatives, business planning, organizational effectiveness and Chairman's communications. Before joining Ameriprise Financial, McGraw held leadership positions at American Express in Global Financial Services, Travel Related Services International and Establishment Services.
She has a bachelor's degree in American studies from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa., and she is a member of the Dean's Advisory Council for the Lehigh University School of Business.
Colin Moore is the global chief investment officer for Columbia Threadneedle Investments, a global asset manager with offices in the U.S., EMEA and Asia. His responsibilities include ensuring that a disciplined investment process is in place across all asset classes, including equity and fixed income.
Moore is a recognized market expert and popular industry spokesperson with a talent for translating complex financial concepts into clear, compelling stories for a variety of investor audiences.
Moore joined one of the Columbia Threadneedle Investments legacy firms in 2002 as head of equity and was also head of fixed income and liquidity strategies from 2009–2010. He has been a member of the investment community since 1983.
Previously, Moore was chief investment officer of global and international value equities and associate director of research at Putnam Investments. While serving in this role, he personally managed $3 billion in addition to overseeing a team of 29 analysts and five portfolio managers. Prior to that, Moore was director of research and chief investment officer for Rockefeller & Co. in New York and London. Throughout his career in the investment industry, he has held portfolio management positions with three London-based asset management firms, as well as a role in product development.
Moore attended the London Business School where he completed its Investment Management Program.
O'Connell has over 20 years of experience in the financial planning and advice business. He began his career with Ameriprise Financial as a financial advisor before moving into increasingly senior leadership positions within the company. He served as a field vice president in both Delaware and the Philadelphia area, and later as a group vice president for the Northeast region. In 2009, O'Connell was promoted to senior vice president for the employee advisor business in the eastern half of the United States, and he assumed his current role in February 2013.
O'Connell is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional, Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM and a Chartered Financial Consultant®. He earned his M.B.A. and B.S. from Widener University.
Joseph (Joe) Sweeney's overall responsibility includes the firm's brokerage, managed products, retail retirement products, cash & certificates, personal trust, information management, service delivery, home & auto insurance, and Ameriprise India operations. In 2005, he led the operations effort for the transition of Ameriprise to an independent, publicly traded company.
Sweeney joined American Express, former parent company of Ameriprise Financial, in 1983 and has served in a number of senior leadership positions across the firm, including Advice and Wealth Management - Products and Services, Financial Planning – Product and Services, Business Transformation, Business Processes – Global Network Services, Quality and Reengineering – Travel Related Services and Banking, Brokerage and Managed Products.
He serves on the board of directors for American Enterprises Investment Services and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA). He is also a member of the SIFMA executive committee and chair of the SIFMA private client group steering committee. In addition, he currently chairs the board of directors for Ameriprise National Trust Bank, as well as the company's broker-dealer subsidiary, Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc.
Sweeney earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in economics from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H., where he also is a member of the board of trustees and serves on the Finance, Investment & Student Affairs committees.
Karen Wilson Thissen, as Executive Vice President and General Counsel, is responsible for direction and oversight of the firm's legal and compliance functions, consisting of almost 400 professionals who manage all legal and regulatory risks for the company.
Wilson Thissen has more than 20 years of legal experience within the financial services industry. Prior to joining Ameriprise in 2005, she worked as a trial lawyer and a partner at Faegre & Benson in Minneapolis, where she represented broker-dealer, asset manager and insurance clients on a variety of litigation and regulatory matters.
A frequent speaker on issues of leadership and an active community leader, Wilson Thissen has served on a number of nonprofit boards in the Minneapolis community. Within Ameriprise, she is the executive sponsor for the firm's annual giving campaign and the executive sponsor for its LGBT employee network.
Wilson Thissen is a graduate of Georgetown University and the University of Chicago Law School.
Ted Truscott is the chief executive officer for Columbia Threadneedle Investments, which manages retail, institutional and owned asset portfolios, including the Columbia and Threadneedle families of mutual funds, collective funds, separate accounts, alternative investments and ETFs.
Before joining the company in September 2001, Truscott was chief investment officer with Zurich Scudder Investments, Americas, and managing director — Zurich Scudder Investments. Truscott joined Scudder, Stevens & Clark in 1992 as a portfolio manager and equity research analyst, focusing on Latin American countries and securities.
Prior to Scudder, Truscott was with Chemical Bank from 1983 to 1992, first as a credit analyst and banking officer covering Asian banks and corporations at Chemical Bank. Later, Truscott joined Chemical's LDC Structured Finance Group, concentrating on the creation and management of Chemical's debt/equity swap portfolio in Latin America.
Truscott serves on several boards across the Columbia Threadneedle and Ameriprise Financial businesses. In addition, he serves as Chairman of the Investment Company Institute's Board of Governors and is also a member of the Board of Trustees for Middlebury College.
Truscott earned a bachelor's degree in East Asian studies from Middlebury College and a master's of business administration in Finance from New York University, Stern School of Business.
He is also a spokesman for the firm, having appeared in publications such as the Wall Street Journal,Financial Planning Magazine, and Financial Times.
Williams joined Ameriprise in 1989 as an advisor and was named to the President's Advisory Council (PAC) in his first year with the firm. In addition to building a successful practice, Williams has held a number of management roles within Ameriprise before assuming his current position.
Williams is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional and a graduate of Bentley University with a BA in Finance. He maintains his Minnesota Life and Health insurance licenses, and FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 registrations.
John Woerner is President, Insurance & Annuities and Chief Strategy Officer for Ameriprise Financial, responsible for leading the company's RiverSource Insurance and Annuities businesses as well as its strategic and business development initiatives.
Within insurance and annuities, Woerner oversees a comprehensive lineup of product solutions to help clients more confidently achieve their goals by growing their assets, generating retirement income and protecting their wealth. As chief strategy officer, he leads the development and implementation of strategic programs designed to grow the business and increase market share for the company.
Prior to joining Ameriprise in 2005, Woerner was with McKinsey and Company, where he was a leader of its North American Asset Management, Brokerage and Wealth Management practice. Woerner was at McKinsey for 10 years and was elected partner in 2000. While at McKinsey, he developed strategies to help a broad range of leading financial services firms overcome challenges and pursue opportunities in the market. He was successful in helping clients enter new markets, build capabilities, accelerate growth and improve performance. He began his career at Goldman Sachs as a financial analyst.
Woerner holds a bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University and a master's of business administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the Chairman of the National Endowment for Financial Education board, and serves on the board of directors for the American Council of Life Insurers.
